The Black Angel Team: Sim Racing with a Touch of Style
In the world of sim racing, where competition is fierce, and driving skills are constantly put to the test, some teams stand out for their passion and dedication. Among them is the Black Angel Team, a group of enthusiasts that has built a solid reputation both in Italy and internationally.
What is Sim Racing?
Sim racing, or racing simulation, is much more than a video game. It is a discipline that faithfully replicates the driving experience, requiring skills, strategy, and a deep understanding of driving dynamics. Simulators like Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione, and rFactor offer immersive simulations with accurately recreated tracks, weather conditions, and vehicles, making sim racing a true virtual sport.
The Birth of the Black Angel Team
Founded in April 2006 by Diego, the Black Angel Team is a nonprofit association. It consists of sim racing enthusiasts who share a love for the simulators developed by the Italian studio Kunos Simulazioni. Since its inception, the team has ...

Automobilista 2 V1.6.9.8 — Now Live: Renault R25 & R26, New DLC and Much More
Reiza Studios has released V1.6.9.8 for Automobilista 2, a massive update packed with new content, simulation physics improvements and general optimisations. ⚠️ Important Notice on F1 Licensing
Reiza has announced that imminent licensing restrictions may result in the removal of some official F1 cars for new purchases of the game, including the newly added Renault cars. However, it is crucial to note that existing AMS2 owners — or anyone who purchases the game before such measures are implemented — will not lose any content they currently own: these cars will remain a ...

The community's voice at the heart of development
Before the announcement, the team ran a community survey that gathered over 400 detailed responses. The message that came through was clear and unambiguous: drivers want more content to expand the competitive footprint of the sim, and they want meaningful improvements to the AI. The developers chose to react immediately, shaping this update as a direct answer to those requests. The first official Community Debrief — wh ...

Assetto Cosa Rally
Assetto Corsa Rally — Update 0.4.1: fairer leaderboards and anti-cheating measures take centre stage
The Assetto Corsa Rally development team has released update 0.4.1, a focused but highly significant patch for the game's competitive integrity. The stated goal is clear and direct: make the leaderboards as fair as possible and deter any attempt to exploit track limits or vehicle damage to achieve unrealistic times.
Physical damage always on in Time Attack and Challenge
The most significant change introduced with this update concerns the vehicle physical damage system. From now on, physical damage will always be active in Time Attack and Challenge modes, with no option to disable it. This is a deliberate and firm decision by the developers to counter unsportsmanlike behaviour: driving without any concern for the consequences of impacts, contacts with barriers, or off-road exc ...

Le Mans Ultimate — Full breakdown of update V1.3.2.2 (Update 2, Patch 2, Hotfix 2)
Studio 397 has released a new hotfix for Le Mans Ultimate, identified as V1.3.2.2 and registered under Build ID 23095874. Dated 6th June, this update introduces no new content or simulation changes, focusing exclusively on resolving several critical game freezes that could significantly compromise the user experience across multiple areas of the game. This is the kind of targeted, rapid response that development teams issue when stability issues emerge that cannot wait for the regular update cycle.
Co-op: freeze on stint restart resolved
The most impactful issue for players using the cooperative mode involved a complete game freeze triggered when restarting a stint. In a simulation like Le Mans Ultimate, where co-op sessions can last for hours and involve multiple coordinated drivers, a freeze at ...

A compact but dense update, once again demonstrating the team's commitment to responding swiftly to issues raised by the community.
One important note upfront: the Dedicated Server application has been updated alongside the game itself. Server administrators are strongly encouraged to update without delay. It is essential to be aware that the updated server is backwards compatible — it can handle clients running older versions — but it is not forwards compatible, meaning server and game clients must be aligned on the same version to ensure online sessions run cor ...

Project Motor Racing — Full breakdown of update 2.0.0.3

Two 1990s icons: opposing philosophies, the same passion
