Project Motor Racing: Second Official Gameplay Video Released
Project Motor Racing: Second Official Gameplay Video Released
Straight4 Games unveils new gameplay footage showcasing cross-play session with gamepad controls
Today brings exciting new content for Project Motor Racing, the racing simulator developed by Straight4 Games. The studio founded by Ian Bell has released a second official gameplay video offering an in-depth look at the gameplay mechanics of the upcoming title set to launch on November 25, 2025.
Raw Gameplay and Cross-Play in Action
The new video published by Straight4 features unedited gameplay sequences showcasing a particularly interesting feature of the game: a cross-play session where all players compete using the same physics model, regardless of their platform or control device. In the footage, the player uses a standard gamepad with driving assists enabled, demonstrating the title's accessibility even for those without a dedicated racing wheel.
This choice to showcase gameplay with a controller and active assists represents a clear indication of the developers' intention to make Project Motor Racing an inclusive title, capable of satisfying both sim racing purists and more casual players seeking a less demanding but still engaging driving experience.
Availability and Platforms
Project Motor Racing will be available from November 25, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The title is already available for pre-order through various digital channels:
- Steam and Epic Games Store for the PC version priced at €59.99 / $59.99 / £49.99
- PlayStation Store for PlayStation 5
- Microsoft Store for Xbox Series X|S
- Traditional physical retailers for console versions
Pre-Order Bonuses and Additional Content
Those who decide to pre-order Project Motor Racing will receive the "Project Motor Racing – GTE Decade Pack" DLC as a bonus, additional content that will enrich the gaming experience from day one.
For more dedicated players, the Pre-Purchase Project Motor Racing Year 1 Bundle is available for €89.99. This bundle includes:
- The base game
- Day 1 Group 5 Revival Pack
- 3 additional Content Packs
- Year 1 Expansion Pack
A particularly advantageous offer for those who want to secure all the content planned for the first year of post-launch support right away.
The Project Behind Project Motor Racing
The story of this title dates back to late 2022, when Ian Bell – a prominent figure in the racing game world thanks to his work with SimBin, Blimey Games, and Slightly Mad Studios – announced the founding of a new development studio: Straight4 Games.
The project, initially known by the code name GTR Revival, was subsequently renamed GTRevival and finally adopted the definitive name Project Motor Racing. This name change likely reflects the evolution of the game's vision during its development, aiming to create a modern racing experience inspired by the tradition of great simulators but with a contemporary approach.
Future Prospects
With less than a month until launch, Project Motor Racing is preparing to enter a particularly competitive racing game market. The choice to support cross-play and offer an accessible experience even through gamepad controls, without sacrificing in-depth physics simulation, could prove successful in attracting a broader player base.
The sim racing community eagerly awaits the opportunity to get their hands on the title and discover whether Straight4 Games will be able to replicate the successes achieved by Ian Bell in his previous projects. The release of these gameplay videos represents a positive signal of the studio's confidence in the product and their commitment to maintaining transparent communication with the community.
