F1 25: Patch v1.14 and Season 4 Incoming - Colapinto Moves to Alpine
Major Update Ahead of Season 4 Launch
EA Sports and Codemasters have announced the release of patch v1.14 for F1 25, a significant update that precedes the Season 4 launch scheduled for November 12. The patch will be available starting at 10am UTC on Monday, November 10, and includes a major driver roster change that reflects real-world Formula 1 developments.
Franco Colapinto Joins Alpine
The most notable addition in the patch concerns the driver roster: Franco Colapinto, the young Argentine talent who has impressed throughout the season, will replace Jack Doohan at Alpine. This change mirrors the move made during the real-world season and will see Colapinto partner Pierre Gasly as the French team's default driver in all game modes where this modification is applicable.
It's important to note that this update will not be retroactive for existing Career saves, Braking Point, or F1 The Movie Chapter Scenarios. For those with ongoing careers, Colapinto will still remain available for recruitment from the F2 2024 driver roster.
New Features and Season 4 Content
Starting November 12, players will gain access to a new feature exclusive to Season 4, with full details to be revealed on Monday. The seasonal update will also include refreshed Podium Pass tiers and new items in the Podium Pass Store.
On November 13, the latest Driver Ratings update will arrive, based on real-world results from the Azerbaijan Grand Prix through Mexico, ensuring that in-game performances accurately reflect the current season's results.
Improvements for Peripherals and Controllers
Patch v1.14 resolves several peripheral issues reported by the community on PlayStation 5, particularly those related to Logitech G Pro, Logitech RS50, and Thrustmaster T598 devices. Additionally, default controller support has been added for the Asus Rog Ally X (2024), further expanding the game's compatibility.
Fixes and Optimizations
The update includes several important fixes to enhance the gaming experience:
- Fixed an issue where the engineer could give incorrect tyre advice when on a drying track
- Corrected graphical issues with tyres when terminally damaged
- Resolved a bug that prevented users from viewing multiple Tutorials in the Pause Menu
- Various user interface improvements
- General stability improvements
Community Communication
The development team continues to maintain active dialogue with the community through the EA Forums, r/F1Game on Reddit, and official social channels. The dedicated "Community-Raised Issues" thread on the EA Forums remains the primary reference point for staying updated on community-reported issues and solutions in development.
To report bugs or technical issues, players can use the dedicated "Technical Issues & Bug Reports" page on the EA Forums, where a team member will respond to reports. Comprehensive support guides are also available, including a PC Troubleshooting Guide and tips for setting up F1 25 for Virtual Reality and triple screens on PC.
How to Receive the Update
To receive patch v1.14, ensure your console or PC is connected to the internet. The update will begin rolling out automatically starting at 10am UTC on November 10.
With the arrival of Season 4 and these significant improvements, F1 25 continues to evolve, offering an increasingly faithful and engaging simulation experience for all Formula 1 enthusiasts.
