Le Mans Ultimate - V1.1.1.0 Update: Patch 1 brings improvements and fixes
On October 7, 2025, Studio 397 released Patch 1 for Le Mans Ultimate, bringing the game to version V1.1.1.0. This update comes shortly after the release of version V1.1.0.0, which had introduced significant content such as the ELMS Championship and support for custom liveries.
V1.1 Update Context
Version 1.1 of Le Mans Ultimate, released in September 2025, represented a major step forward for the official FIA World Endurance Championship simulator. The main update had introduced several substantial features, including the addition of the European Le Mans Series (ELMS) Championship in Race Weekend mode, native TrackIR support, and full implementation of custom liveries in both hosted servers and practice sessions.
Key Features of V1.1
The V1.1 update brought significant improvements in several key areas of the game. The custom livery system was extended, allowing players to use their own designs not only in online sessions but also in single-player modes. TrackIR support offered sim racing enthusiasts an even more immersive experience, enabling natural head tracking while driving.
On the performance front, numerous crash fixes were implemented, particularly those occurring with ARC graphics cards during Le Mans circuit loading with 2/3 starting grids. The user interface received several improvements, with proper display of time gaps in standings when exceeding one minute, now shown in minutes:seconds format for clearer reading.
Force Feedback and Control Improvements
An area of particular focus was force feedback and input systems. Developers had resolved issues that could cause jitters or shaking when the wheel wasn't moving, and disabled FFB in case of game crashes to avoid violent jolts potentially damaging to hardware. A critical bug causing a strong FFB kick when clicking on a second monitor while in a car was also fixed.
Input calibrations were refined, eliminating the problem of values flickering between 0% and 100%, and resolving anomalous spikes during pedal calibration. Controller IDs for Logitech G923 and G29 wheels were updated to ensure optimal compatibility with default profiles.
Artificial Intelligence and Physics
The AI drivers received several optimizations, becoming slightly faster in some areas thanks to improved racing lines. Adjustments were made to driving corridors and track cut detections, reducing both false positives and false negatives. The fast rolling start position was moved back 100 meters to standardize distances.
The LMGT3 tire model received improvements in heating and cooling, with slight grip modifications relative to temperature and a lower exponent for thermal degradation. These changes aimed to make tire behavior more realistic and predictable during race sessions.
Online and Multiplayer Fixes
The online mode benefited from numerous fixes. The issue displaying team names as real team names instead of player-registered names was resolved. Custom livery selection was added to online championship mode, though players already registered for the current season needed to re-register to use this functionality.
Post-race standings now more clearly showed reasons for driver ranking adjustments, indicating how many opponents were beaten or overtaken relative to one's ELO rating. Post-race screens were updated with a new DR badge and segmented progress bar for more intuitive progress visualization.
Pit Stop System and Strategies
Several improvements were implemented in the pit stop system. An engineer warning notification was added when using the pit limiter in gears higher than first, preventing potential strategic errors. Lift and coast lights now worked correctly even with aggressive fuel-saving strategies. The pit man no longer failing to appear at some tracks in online sessions was fixed.
The "PITSTOPS" text was no longer displayed when serving a Stop/Go penalty, and the speed limiter message no longer appeared duplicated between automatic activation and manual change. Standings and relative gap format now correctly displayed minutes and seconds when values exceeded one minute.
Interface and User Experience
The user interface received numerous tweaks to improve the overall experience. The race start guide was now correctly displayed for the driver in second position on the grid. The "Restart Practice" button was no longer cut off screen after completing a practice-only session.
Crashes occurring during progression from qualifying to race were fixed, and issues with manual opponent cockpit loading settings in the settings.json file causing one's own LCD display not to load in online games were resolved. The robustness of vehicle settings loading and saving was improved to prevent game crashes.
Patch 1 (V1.1.1.0)
Patch 1, released on October 7, represents a corrective update addressing issues that emerged after the V1.1.0.0 release. As typical for patches following major releases, this version focuses primarily on bug fixes, performance optimizations, and user experience refinements based on community feedback.
Previous hotfixes (V1.1.0.1 and V1.1.0.2) had already addressed critical issues such as loading crashes at 48% and TrackIR software malfunction. Patch 1 continues this refinement work, ensuring the gaming experience is as stable and smooth as possible for all players.
The Continued Evolution of Le Mans Ultimate
Since exiting Early Access with version 1.0 on July 22, 2025, Le Mans Ultimate has continued to evolve rapidly. Studio 397 developers have demonstrated consistent commitment to improving the game based on community feedback, with regular updates introducing new content and fixing player-reported issues.
The official FIA World Endurance Championship simulator has come a long way from its 479 days of Early Access, with 5 major updates, over 10 significant patches, and 26 hotfixes. The addition of the ELMS championship in version 1.1 significantly expanded the content offering, while continuous optimization work has made the experience increasingly engaging and realistic.
Future Prospects
The development team continues working on highly requested community features, such as full Career mode and the driver swap system for team endurance races. Driver swap tests have seen enthusiastic response from the community, and developers are gathering valuable feedback to perfect this important feature.
With the constant addition of new cars, such as the Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR LMH and Mercedes AMG LMGT3 released free with version 1.0, and continued support for the 2024 and 2025 WEC seasons, Le Mans Ultimate confirms itself as one of the most complete and authentic sports car simulators available on the market.
Patch 1 V1.1.1.0 represents another step in this direction, demonstrating Studio 397's commitment to providing a superior sim racing experience for all World Endurance Championship enthusiasts.
