Gran Turismo 7: August 2025 Update
Gran Turismo 7: August 2025 Update - Everything You Need to Know
General Overview
On August 28th, 2025, Polyphony Digital will release Gran Turismo 7 update 1.62, bringing a fresh collection of content for all driving simulation enthusiasts. This summer update promises to further enrich the gaming experience with four new vehicles, unprecedented racing events, and additional GT Café content.
The Four New Cars
Renault Avantime 3.0 V6 24V (2002)
The true star of this update is undoubtedly the Renault Avantime, a vehicle representing one of the most eccentric chapters in French automotive history. This peculiar convertible MPV-coupe, previously featured in Gran Turismo 6, returns with its unmistakable design and controversial nature.
The Avantime was a spectacular commercial failure upon its launch, but it's precisely this uniqueness that makes it a welcome addition to Gran Turismo 7's roster. Unlike the monotonous SUVs added in previous updates, the Avantime brings genuine French personality and character. The model included in the game features the 3.0-liter V6 engine, the more powerful version compared to the 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder.

Afeela 1 (2026)
Born from the collaboration between Sony and Honda under the new Sony Honda Mobility brand, the Afeela 1 represents the future of electric mobility. This elegant and futuristic electric sedan is destined to enter production in 2026, following last year's presentation of the pre-production prototype.
However, the inclusion of this model in Gran Turismo 7 seems puzzling, considering the game already includes the Afeela Prototype 2024, which looks virtually identical to the production version.

Chevrolet Corvette CX Concept (2025)
The Corvette CX Concept was officially unveiled by Chevrolet in early August 2025 and offers a glimpse into the future of the legendary American sports car. This concept previews what could be the design of the future C9 generation, characterized by a long, sloping roofline that gives the vehicle a more aerodynamic profile.
Technically, the CX is powered by four electric motors that combine to generate over 2,000 horsepower, distributed to all four wheels through an electric all-wheel-drive system.

Chevrolet Corvette CX.R Vision Gran Turismo Concept (2025)
Created specifically for Gran Turismo, the CX.R Vision GT represents the track-focused version of the Corvette concept. This hybrid variant combines the four electric motors from the road version with a twin-turbo V8 engine, creating a unique powertrain configuration designed for extreme track performance.

New GT Café Content
The update introduces a new Extra Menu Book titled "Japanese Racing Pioneers." Accessing this content requires reaching Collector Level 33. The menu book will require players to collect three cars that have marked the history of Japanese motorsport.
New Race Events
Three new events will be added to World Circuits mode:
- European Sunday Cup 400 - Circuit de Sainte-Croix (B Reverse configuration)
- Japanese 4WD Challenge 600 - Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta
- World Touring Car 900 - Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps
These events will offer players new challenges and opportunities to test their driving skills on some of the world's most iconic circuits.
New Scapes Location
For virtual photography enthusiasts, the update introduces a new Scapes mode location: Tokyo Bay. This setting will allow players to take spectacular photos of their cars against the backdrop of Tokyo Bay.
