Project Motor Racing Showcases Dynamic Weather, New Cars and Tracks in Gamescom Trailer
Project Motor Racing Showcases Dynamic Weather, New Cars and Tracks in Gamescom Trailer
The most anticipated racing simulator of the year reveals incredible new features ahead of its November launch.
Revolutionary Weather Conditions Debut
Project Motor Racing has finally unveiled its dynamic weather system to the public in the new trailer presented at Gamescom 2025. For the first time, players will experience an advanced weather system featuring adaptive racing lines with authentic track drying, all part of the revolutionary "True2Track" system.
The game will also offer complete 24-hour cycles with day-night transitions for every circuit, promising an evolution of the dynamic weather system seen in Project CARS games. This connection isn't coincidental, considering the Straight4 Studios development team consists of former Slightly Mad Studios members.
Porsche Officially Joins the Roster
One of the most exciting revelations in the trailer is the official confirmation of Porsche as a manufacturer in Project Motor Racing. The German brand will be represented by an impressive collection spanning different eras of motorsport history:
- Porsche 963 (2023) - Porsche's latest racing weapon
- Porsche 917K (1970) - The legendary Le Mans winner
- Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) - The latest evolution of the GT3 dynasty
- Porsche 911 GT1-98 - The iconic '90s racing supercar
- Porsche 962C - Another piece of motorsport history
Significant Expansion of Cars and Categories
Beyond the Porsches, the trailer confirms the arrival of three other spectacular vehicles:
- Aston Martin Valkyrie (2025) - Aston Martin's extreme hypercar
- Aston Martin AMR Vantage GT3 Evo - The racing version of the Vantage
- Ford Mustang GT4 (2024) - The latest evolution of the American muscle car
These additions also confirm the introduction of two new vehicle classes: GT1 and Group C, bringing the total confirmed categories to nine, with further announcements expected in the coming months.
Legendary Circuits Added to the Roster
Project Motor Racing has significantly expanded its track list, adding some of the most iconic circuits in world motorsport:
- Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps - The temple of Belgian motorsport
- Nürburgring Nordschleife - The infamous "Green Hell"
- Nürburgring GP - The modern Formula 1 circuit
- Autodromo Nazionale Monza - Italy's "Temple of Speed"
- Donington Park - The historic English circuit
- Mount Panorama (Bathurst) - The iconic Australian track
All circuits have been meticulously laser-scanned to ensure maximum precision. With these additions, Project Motor Racing will launch with 28 layouts across 18 different locations.
Impressive Technical and Visual Progress
The trailer shows notable visual improvements compared to previous builds, with breathtaking weather effects demonstrating the technical maturity of the project. Developers have clearly invested time in refining the game's graphical appearance.
A particular nostalgic touch is the orchestral soundtrack, which represents a remixed version of Project CARS' menu music, creating an emotional bridge with fans of the previous series.
Hands-On Experience at Gamescom
Gamescom visitors can personally try the latest build of Project Motor Racing at stand B061 in hall six. Alongside the game, the 2002 Le Mans-winning Audi R8 is also on display, creating a complete immersive experience for enthusiasts.
The available build is described as an "updated and more polished version," suggesting that development is proceeding according to plan toward launch.
Launch Details and Accessibility
Project Motor Racing will be available on November 25, 2025 for:
- PC (Windows)
- PlayStation 5
- Xbox Series X|S
For those who cannot attend Gamescom, early access to the simulator is possible by signing up for the Factory Driver Programme, a testing program dedicated to selected players.
Conclusions and Expectations
With few months remaining before launch, Project Motor Racing is positioning itself as a serious contender in the racing simulator landscape. The combination of advanced weather conditions, an impressive roster of historic and modern cars, and meticulously recreated legendary circuits promises an authentic and engaging driving experience.
The Straight4 Studios team, drawing on experience gained with Project CARS, seems determined to push the boundaries of what's possible in a modern racing simulator.
