The sim racing world is preparing to welcome one of the year's most anticipated events: the Portimao 1000, presented by Simucube. This special iRacing competition represents a tribute to historic endurance racing and takes place at the prestigious Portuguese Algarve International Circuit.
What is the iRacing Portimao 1000?
The Portimao 1000 is one of iRacing's most distinctive special events, characterized by mass multiplayer participation. New for 2025, this event faithfully replicates competitions from the past, drawing inspiration from the 1000-kilometer races that actually took place in Portugal between 2009 and 2010.
The event stands out as a multi-class team race that utilizes some of the most iconic and less frequently used cars from the sim racing platform, offering participants the opportunity to drive historic automobiles in an authentic competitive context.
