The Black Angel Team: Sim Racing with a Touch of Style
In the world of sim racing, where competition is fierce, and driving skills are constantly put to the test, some teams stand out for their passion and dedication. Among them is the Black Angel Team, a group of enthusiasts that has built a solid reputation both in Italy and internationally.
What is Sim Racing?
Sim racing, or racing simulation, is much more than a video game. It is a discipline that faithfully replicates the driving experience, requiring skills, strategy, and a deep understanding of driving dynamics. Simulators like Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione, and rFactor offer immersive simulations with accurately recreated tracks, weather conditions, and vehicles, making sim racing a true virtual sport.
The Birth of the Black Angel Team
Founded in April 2006 by Diego, the Black Angel Team is a nonprofit association. It consists of sim racing enthusiasts who share a love for the simulators developed by the Italian studio Kunos Simulazioni. Since its inception, the team has ...

Project Motor Racing: Praga Bohema Opens the Door to User-Generated Content
Project Motor Racing: Praga Bohema Opens the Door to User-Generated Content
The world of racing simulators is preparing to welcome a revolution with Project Motor Racing, the new title developed by Straight4 Studios that promises to redefine the gaming experience through an innovative user-generated content system. The first preview of this futuristic vision comes in the form of the spectacular Praga Bohema, a Czech supercar that represents the game's first official "mod."
A New Paradigm for Racing Simulators
Project Motor Racing stands out in the simulator landscape with its ambitious proposal: a dedicated portal for user-generated content (UGC) that will be accessible on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This cross-platform feature represents a significant step toward democratizing content in the world of automotive simulations.
The launch is scheduled for November 25, 2025, when players will be able to access three carefully selected vehicles from day one. The Praga Bohema is among these, bringing with it a completely new philosophy in approaching additional content.
The Praga Bohema: Czech Technology at the Service of Speed
The Praga Bohema is not just any supercar. This Czech engineering marvel represents the perfect balance between track performance and road homologation. The beating heart of this machine is a modified Japanese engine - specifically, the Nissan GT-R power unit tuned by Litchfield - positioned centrally for optimal balance.
The Bohema's aggressive aerodynamics derive directly from motorsport experience, giving the vehicle an intimidating appearance and true race car performance. Despite its heavily track-oriented nature, the Bohema maintains road homologation, making it the first non-race vehicle available in Project Motor Racing.
Quality Control: The Key to Success
Ryan Hoey, Chief Operating Officer of Straight4 Studios, has clarified the company's approach to UGC content: "When we talk about the end game of the UGC portal, it's quality control. The content will either be licensed, fictional, or we will work with brands to make sure that there's nothing that's being completely ripped off."
This moderation system extends beyond legal aspects to include the implementation of driving physics, ensuring that each vehicle offers an authentic and engaging experience. The process resembles the one already successfully adopted by GIANTS Software for the Farming Simulator series.
Beyond Automobiles: A Complete Ecosystem
Project Motor Racing's UGC portal won't be limited to vehicles. Users will be able to create and share custom tracks and liveries as well, creating a complete ecosystem for customizing the gaming experience. For PC users, the ability to modify the game outside of the official UGC format will also be available.
Ben Collins' Expertise
An element that adds credibility to the project is the presence of Ben Collins, former Top Gear presenter and Praga test driver, in the role of driving consultant for the simulator. His experience in both television and motorsport brings significant added value to the development of the game's driving dynamics.
The Future of Gaming Content
Project Motor Racing represents more than just a simulator: it's a platform that could redefine the relationship between developers and community. The approach to user-generated content, balanced between creative freedom and quality control, could become the new industry standard.
The choice of the Praga Bohema as the launch vehicle is not coincidental: it perfectly represents the game's philosophy, combining technological innovation, exceptional performance, and accessibility. With the release scheduled for November 2025, Project Motor Racing is preparing to write a new chapter in the history of racing simulators.
