The Black Angel Team: Sim Racing with a Touch of Style

In the world of sim racing, where competition is fierce, and driving skills are constantly put to the test, some teams stand out for their passion and dedication. Among them is the Black Angel Team, a group of enthusiasts that has built a solid reputation both in Italy and internationally.

What is Sim Racing?

Sim racing, or racing simulation, is much more than a video game. It is a discipline that faithfully replicates the driving experience, requiring skills, strategy, and a deep understanding of driving dynamics. Simulators like Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione, and rFactor offer immersive simulations with accurately recreated tracks, weather conditions, and vehicles, making sim racing a true virtual sport.

The Birth of the Black Angel Team

Preview of AC EVO 0.3 at Spa-Francorchamps
From June 26 to 29 at the Fan Village of the iconic Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Assetto Corsa EVO makes its first on-site appearance. Attendees can test the upcoming BMW M4 GT3 EVO and the updated Spa layout, part of Early Access 0.3 releasing in July.

Inside the “E-Motion On Tour Truck” esports rig, ten LPSimu-based simulators will feature D-BOX Gen5 platforms, Fanatec Podium DD1 wheels, and official BMW M4 GT3 steering – made possible through partnerships with Fanatec-Corsair, SRO, BMW Motorsport, and AK Esports.

How to participate
Participation is free and open to all 24 Hours attendees. The first 400 players get a limited-edition t-shirt. All participants enter a raffle for a Fanatec Podium BMW M4 GT3 steering wheel signed by BMW Motorsport drivers. Fastest three times get prizes during the June 29 ceremony: top driver wins the wheel, second and third receive BMW merchandise.

Behind the scenes
Marco Massarutto, KUNOS co-founder, highlighted how bringing Spa “updated to its latest layout” speaks to their pride in authenticity. Davide Brivio, creative director, stressed how community and partner collaboration turn this into a memorable event.

Why it matters
Update 0.3 goes beyond new cars and tracks – it debuts the first multiplayer features and performance enhancements. Moreover, bringing AC EVO to a live motorsport event shows KUNOS’s commitment to community testing and real-world engagement before launch.
